Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney

Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney is one of the essential facilities in the construction of coal-burning boiler room. Its main function is to provide ventilation for the heat flue gas or smoke emitted from the boiler. At the same time, because the standard of chimney height of coal-fired boiler plays an important role in the diffusion dilution of pollutants and the reduction of pollutants landing concentration, the high chimney is very conducive to the diffusion dilution of pollutant concentration. However, after the chimney height of coal-fired boiler reaches a certain height, further increasing the height has no obvious effect on the reduction of pollutants landing concentration. Therefore, the state has formulated the standard for the chimney height of coal-fired boilers:

1.Coal, fuel oil (except light diesel oil, kerosene) gas boiler chimney height standard:
Only one chimney is allowed for each new boiler room. The height of the chimney can be implemented according to the following table.

1.When the total installed capacity of the boiler room is greater than 28MW(40t/h), the height standard of the Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney shall be determined in accordance with the requirements of the approved Environmental Impact Statement (table) and shall not be less than 45m. When there are buildings within a 200m radius around the chimney of a new coal-fired boiler, the chimney should be at least 3m higher than the tallest building. The chimney height of the oil (light diesel, kerosene) and gas boiler shall be determined in accordance with the requirements of the approved Environmental Impact Statement (table) and shall not be less than 8m.
2. If the chimney height does not reach the above standard, the maximum allowable emission concentration of soot, SO2 and NOx should be carried out according to the corresponding region and period emission standard value of 50%.
3. The height standards of Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney with output ≥1t/h or 0.7MW should be set up for permanent sampling holes and related facilities in accordance with the provisions of "Test Method for Boiler Soot" (GB5468) and "Method for Determination of Particulate Matter and Sampling of Gaseous Pollutants in Exhaust from Fixed Pollution Sources" (GB/T16157-2001).
4. The height standard and flue gas emission index of Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney shall meet the requirements of the local emission standard or regulation of the region where the boiler room is located in addition to the provisions of Paragraph 1 to 3 above (excerpt from GB13271-2001).
5. The inner diameter of outlet of the Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney should ensure that the flue gas velocity is not too high when the boiler room is under the highest load, so as to avoid excessive resistance; At the lowest load of the boiler room, the flow rate of the chimney outlet should not be less than 2.5~3m/s to prevent air backfilling.

6.When the Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney is located near a flight path or an airport, the height standard of the Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney shall not exceed the provisions of the relevant aviation authority. The Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney should be equipped with a signal light and painted with a sign color.
7.In a naturally ventilated boiler, the chimney height shall not only comply with the above regulations, but also ensure that the suction force generated by the chimney can overcome the total resistance of the boiler and flue system. For the furnace of negative pressure combustion, there should also be 20~40Pa negative pressure at the outlet of the furnace.
8. The bottom of the Tower Type Coal-fired Boiler Chimney should be equipped with an oil discharge device or a water discharge device.
